SOME CARACTERISTICS WRESTLING DEVELOPMENT IN THE SLAVEHOLDING SYSTEM IN EGYPT AND GREECE

Abstract

The fi rst tra ces and know led ge on wre stling can be fo un ded in the an ci ent ci vi li zati ons at fi rst in Me so po ta mia, then in the ter ri tory of Far East and in the Me di ter ra nean which be longs to the ter ri tory of the Mid dle East. Vavylon, Egypt, Imo lia, Chi na, Cre te, Myce na ee, Gre e ce and Ro me are rich with va ri o us ar che o lo gi cal and ot her facts which men tion wre stling as im por tant fi g hting skill of that ti me. Wre stling in Egypt and Gre ece had im po r tant pla ce and ro le ac cor ding to the hi sto ri cal facts, so me of which wil be esta blis hed in this study.
