BIOLOGICAL PROPERTIES OF THERMOSENSITIVE CHITOSAN GELS CONDITIONING IN WATER
Journal Title: Progress on Chemistry and Application of Chitin and its Derivatives - Year 2015, Vol 0, Issue
Abstract
In this paper the properties of thermosensitive chitosan hydrogels prepared with the use of chitosan salz (chloride and lactate) and -glycerophosphate are presented. Biological studies were carried out on thermogels without conditioning in water and on thermogels after 24 h conditioning in water. Experiments were conducted on a reference cell line L 929 (NCTC clone 929) American Type Culture Collection according to Annex C PN-EN ISO 10993-5

PRELIMINARY STUDIES ON THE USABLE PROPERTIES OF INNOVATIVE WOUND DRESSINGS
There is endless and growing demand on a novel and innovative wound dressings, which except basic protective performance accelerate the process of wounds healing and/or replace the patient skin function. The studies on t...
EFFECT OF pH VALUE AND ADSORBENT CONCENTRATION ON THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ADSORPTION ONTO CHITIN AND CHITOSAN
The study was aimed at determining the effectiveness of reactive dye RB5 removal in the adsorption process onto chitin and chitosan as affected by the quantity of an adsorbent and pH value of the solution. The experiment...
PREPARATION OF MICRO AND NANOSTRUCTURES OF CHITOSAN BY ULTRASONIC COALESCENCE OF W/O EMULSIONS
In the paper, the preeliminary study of chitosan micro and nanospheres precipitation due to two reverse emulsions (W/O) coalescence is described. The composition conditions, which must be filled to obtain stable reverse...
SURFACE PROPERTIES OF CHITOSAN ACETATE, POLYACRYLAMIDE AND THEIR MIXTURES
The surface properties of chitosan acetate (ChA), polyacrylamide (PAM) and ChA/PAM mixtures have been investigated by the tapping-mode atomic force microscopy (AFM) and monitored by contact angle measurements. Chitosan i...
EFFECT OF A HYDROPHILISING SUBSTANCE ON THE VISCOSITY OF GYNAECOLOGICAL GELS CONTAINING LACTIC ACID COMPLEXED WITH CHITOSAN
Thus ensuring a continuous action of a drug also during daily activity time of a patient is a vital question in gynaecological treatment. The main problem in applied therapies is to maintain the continuity of treatment d...
