Blowing jets as a circulation flow control to enhancement the lift of wing or generated power of wind turbine
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2014, Vol 6, Issue 2
Abstract
The goal of this paper is to provide a numerical flow analysis based on RANS equations in two directions: the study of augmented high-lift system for a cross-section airfoil of a wing up to transonic regime and the circulation control implemented by tangentially blowing jet over a highly curved surface due to Coanda effect on a rotor blade for a wind turbine. This study were analyzed the performance, sensitivities and limitations of the circulation control method based on blowing jet for a fixed wing as well as for a rotating wing. Directions of future research are identified and discussed.

A 2D description of the single crystal thin plate growth from the melt by micro- pulling- down method. Part 2
This paper is the second part of a 2D description of a single crystal thin plate growth by micro-pulling–down (μ-PD) method. This part concerns the following aspects: temperature distribution and melt flow in the melt–cr...
Overview regarding the certification of a new military jet aircraft for school and training
The requirements for designing a new Romanian school and training military jet, IAR 99 NG, are in line with the EMAR - European Military Airworthiness Requirement. The Approval Regulation for the new school and training...
Overload prevention in model supports for wind tunnel model testing
Preventing overloads in wind tunnel model supports is crucial to the integrity of the tested system. Results can only be interpreted as valid if the model support, conventionally called a sting remains sufficiently rigid...
