Abstract
The investigation is devoted to the Ukrainian reception of the unanimously recognized cradle of European civilization, Venice. An attempt has been made to view Venice and Ukraine in the process of contemporary changes the world is involved in. The carnival, revived in Venice at the end of the XXth century, rouses pondering over the depletion of old age and arising the new one… New Ukrainian age. New Ukrainian world.
