BURIAL CEREMONY AND RITUAL ATTRIBUTES IN XVII–XVIII CENTURIES (ON THE MATERIALS OF THE EXCAVATIONS IN BERNARDINE CATHOLIC CHURCH IN DUBNO)

Abstract
General categories of ritual artifacts, which were the material reflection of semantic of burial ceremony – in the narrow sense and revealed philosophic and theological sense of concept of man and his mortality – in broader general context, are presented at the article. On the base of large collection of burial inventory discovered during excavations in the former Bernardine Catholic church in Dubno, features of spreading of Franciscan doctrine in Volhynian region, influence of Bernardynian forms of piety on religiosity of Christian community in Dubno are considered. Components of burial ceremony and ritual attributes are analyzed. Special attention is paid to rare items from burial inventory – medallions, paramans and reliquaries.
