Business Associations іn Ukraine: the Essence, Problems and Stages of Development

Abstract
This article is devoted to the study of the nature, functions and operations of business associations in Ukraine. Classification criteria of business associations are distinguished: 1) the direction and scope of activities; 2) methods and management; 3) funding; 4) scope; 5) activity for: entrepreneurs across the country, union members or specific subjects; 6) real functioning, nominally functioning and non-functioning; 7) union permanently operate, or spontaneously and periodically. The main stages of business associations in Ukraine are determined and their specificities are shown: 1) initial stage – 1989- 1992; 2) active stage – from 1993-1999; 3) stage of specialization Entrepreneurs Associations – 1999-2002; 4) stage of differentiation interests of business associations – 2003-2005; 5) stage of gradual escalating conflict with the authorities and associations involved in the business coalitions – 2006- 2013; 6) stage of socio-political activity runs from 2013 until today. Characterized specific features of the modern phase of the business association and show directions of improvement of business associations in Ukraine
