Business models in the process of value creating in digital economy

Abstract

Development of ICT Technologies driver the need for the change of older, traditional business models. The customer is now the key element in the process of value creation. Due to the existence of multichannel platforms of interaction he or she enjoys the opportunity of continuous communication with the enterprise and the other members of ecosystem he/she belongs to. Value is no longer the function of product or service only. It is neither stable nor permanent and is less and less controlled by the offering company. Increasingly, the value is the function of choice space available to the client as well as the function of value, the split of its resources and increasing mobility.
