Cardiac arrest out of hospital – etiology, prognosis, perspectives of treatment – preliminary report

Abstract
91 patients post cardiac arrest in pre-hospital period were treated in Cardiac Intensive Care Unit in the years 2004-2009. The mortality rate in the whole group of patients was about 62 % There was a tendency to lower mortality in patients with acute coronary syndromes ( ACS) treated with PCI vs treated conservatively.
