Abstract
The article describes the principles of a differentiated approach to understanding the problem of the evolution of artistic psycho/ogism and the essential content of the concept In connection with this, a number of related categories are correlated: subject - subjectivity - subjectivism; mental - subjective; psycho/ogicality - artistic psychologism - psychological analysis, etc. The contribution of Soviet literary scholars to the development of the conceptual frameworl< of the identified problem is revealed.
