CAZIM and HIS WORK: BELAGAT

Abstract
This article, deal with the summary criticism that wrote upon Ahmed Cevdet Pasha‟s Belâğat-ı Osmâniyye, which taught as textbook at Low School by the book‟s author, than pressed under the same name. This book, at the same time, is important work in terms of being one of the first Turkish literary studies. Author Câzim, in this book, refers to part of the discussions and point to rejection letters of the Sedad Bey and Hacı Ġbrahim Efendi against Abdurrahman Süreyya. Câzim, as well as, critics some themes of the book. This paper, consists of two sections. In the Ġntroduction section, we have given knowledge about subject. In the first section, we have presented summary of the issue; in the second section we have presented full text of Belâğa and in the epilogue we have given knowledge about results.
