CELL IMMUNOMODULATING THERAPY OF EXTRA-HEPATIC MANIFESTATIONS OF CHRONIC VIRAL HEPATITIS B AND C AND AUTOIMMUNE HEPATITIS

Abstract
Clinical examples proving effi cacy of immunomodulating therapy in the form of intradermal immunization with inactivated autoleukocytes have been presented in the article. It is seen from the examples that amount of cryoglobulins signifi cantly decreases, synthesis of antinuclear antibodies and antibodies against the thyroid antigens is inhibited, and general condition improves in patients with chronic viral and autoimmune hepatitis aft er such immunization. Two examples present severe cryoglobulinemia syndrome in patients, in whom HBV DNA was not revealed aft er antiviral therapy, however, possibility of latent infectious process is not excluded. From other examples, it is seen that immunization reduces side eff ects, which interfere with antiviral therapy of chronic hepatitis B (HBV) and C (HCV). In clinical description of a patient with autoimmune hepatitis, it is shown that synthesis of antinuclear antibodies and smooth muscle antibodies considerably decreased, general condition of a patient improved. Th e method is recommended for treatment of patients with viral hepatitis in the presence of autoimmune extra-hepatic manifestations and patients with autoimmune hepatitis with contraindications for immunosuppressive therapy.
