Challenges in Developing the Waqf Properties: The Study on State Islamic Religious Council in Kelantan

Abstract
There are relatively few studies conducted to examine the challenges in developing waqf properties in Kelantan. In fact, there are minimal researches that investigate the effectiveness of State Islamic Religious Council in managing and developing the waqf properties in their states. In order to appraise the development of waqf properties in Kelantan, the authorities need to be able to highlight its current challenges and difficulties in its management. In our paper, we have discussed about the management of waqf properties in Kelantan. We have also explained the challenges faced by the authorities in developing the waqf properties in Kelantan.
