CHANGING FAMILY AND FAMILY RESPONSIBILITIES

Abstract
This volume addresses a variety of issues related to family life in contemporary Poland. The authors of the articles present changes in the family institutions, which are analysed through different theoretical approaches and methodologies. The authors deal with a few specific subjects about family structures such as conflict of roles in the biographical experiences of women, work‑life balance, internal inequalities and distribution of goods, funds and obligations in the family. Since in Poland the family is the basic source of various forms of support – material, physical, mental, emotional and other – other authors focus on family functions and analyse the topic of nesting, family networks of disabled people and new forms of caring connected with the use of new technologies.
