Changing the communication paradigm in the information society and its influence on political activity

Abstract

The article analysis is focused on the transformation of communication system at the present stage of the global information society and its influence on socio-cultural and political processes. The “network sociality” is under research in the aspect of “flattening” of social ties, replacing dialogue in communication with phatic communication. An important aspect of the analysis is the influence of “social media” on political preferences and political activity.
