Abstract
The aim of this article is to present the vision of theatre proposed by Jerzy Grotowski. In the vision of theatre presented by Grotowski the actor is the creator of reality. Hence, the article will examine topics relating to the possibility of expanding the boundaries of acting, questions about the identity of the actor, crossing his/her own mental and bodily limits and, finally, the emotions of the actor can fascinate the audience, thus the audience unconsciously becomes an actor.
