Abstract
Bu makalede, eldeki kaynaklardan hareketle 17. asır şairlerinden Cismî’nin hayatı hakkında bilgi verilip, bu makaleye konu olan mevlidin kendisine aidiyeti üzerinde durulacaktır. Mevlid edebî türü ile ilgili temel kaynakların tanıtımı yapıldıktan sonra Cismî mevlidinin nüshaları tanıtılacaktır. Süleyman Çelebi’ye nazire olduğu anlaşılan Mevlid-i Cismî ile Vesîletü’n-Necât arasında bir mukayese yapıldıktan sonra Mevlid-i Cismî’nin iki nüshaya dayalı tenkitli metni verilecektir
