CIVIL EDUCATION OF STUDENTS DURING THE STUDYING OF SOCIAL SCIENCES

Abstract

Introduction. At the present stage of development of society it is expedient to provide scientific substantiation and practical provision of the system of civic education, the purpose of which is to form a complex of civil qualities in students, the need to defend the interests of the Motherland. The purpose. To substantiate pedagogical conditions of civic education of students on classes of social disciplines. Methods. Literature analysis, pedagogical observations, self-analysis. Results. The components of civic education are substantiated: formation of national identity, culture of interethnic relations; legal, moral knowledge; patriotism, humanity, hard work; knowledge of the state language; behavior in accordance with the norms adopted in society. Discussion. The college should promote the development of civic competences, political and legal knowledge, political skills, dignity and responsibility of students, awareness and recognition of their democratic principles of life and human rights priorities.
