Classification of Fiber Optical Sensors
Journal Title: International Journal of Electronics Communication and Computer Technology - Year 2013, Vol 3, Issue 4
Abstract
Fiber optics sensor technology offers different parameter measurements such as strain, pressure, temperature, current and many more things. For that different type of sensors are used and these sensors converts these parameters to optical parameters like light intensity or phase or polarization of light. These converted parameters are transmitted using an optical link over a long distance. In this paper, we review optical sensors and their applications. Here, we describe the classification of fiber optic sensors and based on these sensors, some applications of them are discussed.

A Study on Human Eye Detection in a Color Image Based on Harris Corner Detector and Sobel Edge Operator
A study is made to detect human eye from a color face image (in RGB space) using Harris corner detector and Sobel edge operator. Morphological operation like dilation and erosion are also applied to make the edge of the...
Detection of Melanoma Skin Diesease using Dermoscopy Images
Melanoma is a type of skin disease and is much more dangerous than the other type of skin cancer. The disease can be cured, when it is diagnosed in its early stage. The early diagnosis is difficult using conventional...
Design of Pulse Triggered FlipFlop for Low Power Applications
Most important challenge in modern VLSI design along with area and speed is the power consumption. Flip flop is the basic element in digital system which plays very important role. In this paper, a low power pulse tri...
Reduced Area and Improve Delay Module Design of 64 × 16 RAM
This paper describes a new design approach of RAM in which word can be accessed by row decoder & column decoder, which give the concept of 2-Dimentional RAM. The 64 × 16 RAM has 16-bit data length. This can read and...
