Design of Data Acquisition System for a Base Transceiver System Room Using ARM Processor

Abstract
The main aim of this work is to design a system for reducing the wastage of electricity in BTS room and also to handle the scarcity of electricity which causing serious dislocation in all spheres of life. Here we are using a free cooling unit which Provides a ventilation system and its main objective is to reduce motor run time and save electricity cost at the BTS sites. The controllers also maintain the room temperature under a predetermined value by controlling the Fan Unit. If the BTS room temperature is not under a tolerant level then the Processor gives command to Fan unit to ON. The temperature values are displayed in LCD. If the values exceed beyond the threshold limit this information is messaged to user using GSM module. One of the major operations of this work is to store the room temperature and outdoor temperature data in to a permanent memory EEPROM.
