Image Enhancement for Visual Impairments
Journal Title: International Journal of Electronics Communication and Computer Technology - Year 2015, Vol 5, Issue 2
Abstract
Image Enhancement techniques which improve the quality (clarity) of images for human viewing, removing blurring and noise, increasing contrast, and revealing. This enhancer accommodates most of the image enhancement techniques with a user input interface, which can be used to combine two or more of these techniques. The existing techniques of image enhancement can be classified into three categories: Spatial Domain, Frequency domain and Histogram Equalization. In spatial domain method pixel values may be modified according to rules that depend on the original pixel value, frequency domain techniques are suited for processing the image according to the frequency content and histogram equalization assigns the intensity values of pixels in the input image such that the output image contains a uniform distribution of intensities.

Efficient Implementation of Low Density Parity Check (LDPC) Decoder In VLSI
The best error-correcting performance can be achieved by using non-binary low-density parity check (NB-LDPC) codes. This can be of reduced decoding complexity with high cost efficiency and is mostly preferable than binar...
Overlap Wavelet Transform for Image Segmentation
A new color image segmentation approach based on OWT is presented in this work. OWT extracts wavelet features which give a good separation of different patterns. Moreover the proposed algorithm uses morphological oper...
A III-V Group Tunnel FETs with Good Switching Characteristics and their Circuit Performance
This paper explores suitable materials for tunnel FETs (TFETs) which have good switching characteristics. In all device simulations, total body of TFET is made up of group III-V and IV materials are simulated. Proposed I...
Design of Compact Composite Right-Left-Handed Transmission Line Unit Cells
A new unit cell composite right/left-handed (CRLH) metamaterial using microstrip technology with coupled line is proposed. It is simple and has a small size. The proposed unit cell can be designed in several frequenc...
Hazardous Gas Detection Robot in Coal Mines
There are many coal producing and consuming countries in the world. The most frequent problems that they face are basically the accidents that frequently occurred due to gas explosion, flood, breaking out of fire duri...
