CLIMATE RISKS ASSESSMENT WITH GIS USAGE IN REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA

Journal Title: Geographia Napocensis - Year 2012, Vol 0, Issue 2

Abstract

In context of climatic risk events increasing intensity and frequency for the last time, there is a need to identify, estimate and delimiting their areas. Geographical Information Systems are the main tool in regional climate risk assessment. They ensure simultaneous unfavourable meteorological factors’ collection, processing and spatial modelling. Obtained results are extremely necessary for making applicative measures, in particular in order to mitigate adverse influence on various fields.
