Journal Title: Міжнародний ендокринологічний журнал - Year 2012, Vol 42, Issue 2
Abstract
The study described in the paper was aimed to investigate cardiovascular system functioning in diabetic patients. The impairments of systolic and diastolic myocardial functions combined with different types of left ventricular remodeling have been revealed. Besides extracranial atherosclerosis and intracranial arterial hyalinosis were found to be of great importance for cerebral circulation injury in diabetes mellitus (DM). Evident impairment of circulation in lower limb is associated with diabetic macroangiopathy development morphologically manifested as medial calcification. Rehabilitation measures in diabetic patients should be performed straight after diabetes is diagnosed, they should be complex and stepped.
