Clinical case in a female patient with irritable bowel syndrome

Abstract

Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is one of the most common digestive system diseases. The article presents a clinical case in a female patient M. diagnosed with IBS with a predominance of diarrhea (in accordance with the Rome IV criteria, 2016). According to the Rome IV criteria (2016), B.infantis 35624 (Alflorex) can significantly reduce all symptoms of IBS (abdominal pain/discomfort, bloating, diarrhea, constipation). Given this, Alflorex was prescribed to the patient M. Alflorex showed high efficiency in the reduction of all signs of IBS in this patient from the first days of administration. Taking into account the high level of safety, the convenience of taking (1 time/day), the preparation of B.infantis 35624 (Alflorex) opens new perspectives for the patient and the doctor in the successful control of IBS symptoms.
