The article analyzes the mechanisms of swallowing due to violations of acute cerebrovascular accident. The methods of evaluation of dysphagia and its prevalence in the population. An overview of scientific evidence-based practice of physical therapy intervention in patients with dysphagia. Article focuses on the effectiveness of certain exercises and techniques to manage the consequences of dysphagia.
