Clorexidina na terapia endodôntica

Abstract
Introdução e objetivo: O objetivo deste trabalho foi realizar uma revisão sobre o uso de clorexidina na terapia endodôntica. Revisão de literatura e conclusão: Suas propriedades de substantividade antimicrobiana, biocompatibilidade, limpeza e dissolução de tecidos foram analisados. Amplamente utilizado como irrigante endodôntico durante o preparo de canais radiculares e como curativo de demora a incapacidade em caso de dissolução do tecido cria uma limitação. Na concentração de 2% que mostrou a sua melhor eficácia antimicrobiana e baixa toxicidade, mas os estudos recentes sobre o seu potencial genotoxicidade e os danos teciduais, quando extrudados em o tecido perirradicular exigem novas pesquisas para responder a questões importantes.
