CO-OPERATION BETWEEN NBC FORCES AND ELEMENTS OF NON-MILITARY SUB-SYSTEM DURING DECONTAMINATION AFTER “DIRTY BOMB” – ASSESSMENT OF MILITARY NBC EQUIPMENT CAPABILITIES

Abstract
Military forces play a significant role in protecting the population in the face of new threats, particularly CBRN terrorism. One of the most crucial issues is co-operation between military forces and a non-military emergency system. Under the Polish law, there are procedures making it possible to employ military forces to conduct these special tasks, but there is still room for improvement. The aim of this paper is to assess the capabilities of NBC equipment for decontamination after a “dirty bomb” in order to support the non-military emergency system.
