COLLABORATIVE LEARNING METHOD IN BASIC DESIGN COURSES AN EXAMPLE

Abstract
The aim of this study is to determine the opinions of students regarding the practice applied by using collaborative learning method in Basic Design course. Within the scope of the study, 6-week study program based on collaborative learning in Basic Design course was applied. The objects available in nature were used while planning and applying collaborative learning process. The students formed abstractions based on textural formations of objects by taking texture differences and characteristic visual privileges of natural objects into consideration. In this respect, collaborative learning method was used while designing and creating a work and forming a composition. For the purposes of the study, case study method, a qualitative research method, was used. The subjects of the study are 12 first-year students attending Anadolu University Education Faculty Department of Fine Arts Education. As data collection tool, document analysis method and semi-structured interview technique was used. The data obtained will be analyzed descriptively and the findings will be interpreted according to research data.
