COMMON ARCHETYPAL PERCEPTION OF THE WORLD CENTRE IN THE MYTHOLOGY OF DIFFERENT NATIONS: THE CROSS-CULTURAL MOTIFS VARIATION IN THE POETRY BY THE SELECTED MEMBERS OF THE NEW YORK GROUP

Abstract
The model of the world center used in the example of myths in the selected lyrics mostly by Vira Vovk and Patricia Kylyna is researched. The Celtic ballads are used as auxiliary material. The world tree, the symbols of stone, water, snakes (serpents, dragons), etc. are considered. The world centre consists of the symbol of Alatyr. The comparative analysis of mondial patterns in Ukrainian, Brazilian, Germanic, Celtic and other mythology. The methods of analysis are: comparative, intermedial, archetypal, contextual, symbological, thesauruses, translational studies.
