COMMUNICATION STANDARDS IN LOCAL GOVERNMENT AS MEANS OF CRISIS PROTECTION

Abstract
The article presents the methods and standards of sharing information within local gov-ernment units, particularly in the case of emergency situations. It puts forward an analysis of the factors that make it easier for a given local government unit to face an emergency situation. The core analysis deals with public relations as a tool of a non-spontaneous method of presenting information about a particular event or situation. The article also presents and discusses in detail those communication tools that are used by individual units, as well as employees’ opinions about them, along with the reasons for negative comments. Finally, the article presents and estimates the relations of local government units with the media.
