COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF THE OLD AND NEW WAY OF TOLL COLLECTION IN POLAND

Abstract
Transport in developed countries is treated as a very important link in supply chains. Right decisions connected with transport require balancing on contrary aims – lowering the cost of transport and increasing the quality of provided service, taking into account the aspects of natural environment. One of the important costs paid by transport companies are road tolls. The article attempts to conduct comparative assessment of a solution to that problem from some time ago and the electronic system of toll collection which is currently being introduced in Poland.
