Comparative Study of 4G Technology, Applications and Compatibility in Prevailing Networks
Journal Title: International Journal of Electronics Communication and Computer Technology - Year 2012, Vol 2, Issue 6
Abstract
With increasing end user demands for wider service due to the rapid growth and variety of IT (information technology) industry, the service with the data rate of 30 Mbps cannot accommodate the future mobile multimedia environment. The Continuous improvement in semiconductors and computing technologies has encouraged service providers to consider implementing the 4G-enabled services to the customers. This paper describes the applications of 4G technology considering the importance of switching to 4G systems as a better service compared to the 3G technology.

Modified Microstrip Antenna with Defected Ground
In this paper a novel rectangular microstrip antenna is presented. Proposed design is employing a modified structure of microstrip antenna with defected ground structure (DGS) to perform over a large return loss. In t...
Survey on Energy Efficiency in DSR/AODV Protocols in Wireless Network
The demand for high data-rate multimedia wireless communications has been growing rapidly. As standards are addressing higher capacity wireless links to meet increasing demands, device power consumption is also increasin...
Overlap Wavelet Transform for Image Segmentation
A new color image segmentation approach based on OWT is presented in this work. OWT extracts wavelet features which give a good separation of different patterns. Moreover the proposed algorithm uses morphological oper...
Study and Performance Analysis of a General MIMO-OFDM System for Next Generation Communication Systems
OFDM may be combined with multiple antennas at both the access point and mobile terminal to increase diversity gain and/or enhance system capacity on a time-varying multipath fading channel, resulting in a multiple-input...
Comparison of Fiber Based Dispersion Compensation in RZ and NRZ Data Modulation Formats
In this paper, dispersion compensating fibers are used to compensate for the positive dispersion accumulated over the length of transmission fiber. Pre and post dispersion compensation schemes are employed for dispersion...
