Abstract
In the development of atherosclerosis not only native but also oxidized Low Density Lipoprotein (ox LDL) and antibodies to them play a significant role. The aim of our study was to determine different levels of ox LDL and antibodies to them in practically healthy persons of various age groups and patients with different cardiovascular diseases. Among clinically healthy persons young ones were established to have most high amount of ox LDL and antibodies to them. Level of ox LDL was defined to depend on the severity of disease. To establish the regional reference importance of ox LDL and antibodies it is necessary to take into account the age of persons examined and other factors.
