Comparison Between PID and Fuzzy Logic Controller in Speed Control System of DC Motor
Journal Title: Robotica & Management - Year 2018, Vol 23, Issue 1
Abstract
The proportional integral derivative (PID) and the Fuzzy logic controller (FLC) are widely used in industry control system. The objective of this paper is to compare the control quality of two controllers to speed control DC motor. The paper will include design and development controller in Matlab/Simulink, both controllers have also been applied to an experimental model in the laboratory to assess the control quality. According to simulation and experimental results, the FLC has more stabilized and faster response as compared to PID. Therefore, the FLC is better than PID controller.

Numerical Analysis of the Influence of Clearance on Stress State and Contact Pressure in Plain Bearings
In the analysis of plain bearings by finite element method it is important to model as closely to real state the aspects that influence the stress and contact pressure: the loading mode, the properties of the materials,...
PD Controller for Bicycle Model Balancing
Bicycle is a conventional vehicle and it cannot self-balance. An equivalent model is required to be supplied in order to base a control structure for this under-actuated system. Thence, in this paper, authors infer a bal...
Experimental Investigation on the Positioning Accuracy of the Translation Module of a 6-DOF Industrial Robot
The paper presents an experimental investigation regarding the positioning accuracy and kinematical parameters of the base translation module of a 6-DOF industrial robot. The positioning error of the translation module w...
Locomotion Systems for Search and Rescue Robots
In the first part of the paper the authors present some aspects regarding search and rescue robots, factors that might influence their design process and they are proposing several locomotion systems. The second part of...
Comparative Study of the Horse Limbs and Their Modeled Biomechanisms
The first part of the paper presents the topological structure of the horse skeleton, highlighting the tubular architecture of long bones that is mechanically conditioned by the stresses to which the bone is subjected du...
