Comparison of gene fragments coding for ribosomal sugarcane proteins

Journal Title: Biotecnología Vegetal - Year 2005, Vol 5, Issue 1

Abstract

Partial sequences of sugarcane genes, obtained by means of a subtractive library were identified by BLAST alignment against all sequences available in the databases. During the homology search, five genes were identified as chloroplast or citosol ribosomal proteins. The biggest homology obtained among the identified sequences as ribosomal proteins of sugarcane was with the corn genome.
