COMPENSATION OF SYSTEMATIC ERRORS OF DAMAGED PROBE FOR ON-MACHINE MEASUREMENT
Journal Title: Journal of Machine Engineering - Year 2018, Vol 18, Issue 1
Abstract
Spatial characteristic of triggering radius of the damaged probe for the CNC machine tools has been presented. In such case a clear distortion of the probe performance characteristic and a significant increase in probe errors have been observed. Then, to such a damaged probe, a variable speed correction method of systematic errors was used. By setting proper measurement speeds, varying for different measurement directions, errors of the probe can be significantly reduced.

PARAMETERIZATION OF ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES BY AUTOMATED CHARACTERISTIC DIAGRAMS FOR THE DECOUPLED FLUID AND STRUCTURAL-MECHANICAL SIMULATIONS
Thermo-elastic effects contribute the most to positioning errors in machine tools especially in operations where high precision machining is involved. When a machine tool is subjected to changes in environmental influenc...
Cutting layer and cutting forces in a 5-axis milling of sculptured surfaces using the toroidal cutter
The purpose of this article was to evaluate the significance of the influence of five- axis orientation parameters of a toroidal cutter axis and the geometrical parameters of the machined sculptured surface on the inters...
ENERGY-BASED CHARACTERIZATION OF PRECISION HARD MACHINING USING PARTIALLY WORN CBN CUTTING TOOLS
This paper highlights the performance of precision hard turning with CBN cutting tools from energy point- of-view with additional tool wear effect. For this purpose several wear tests were performed during which the tool...
MANUFACTURING AND QUALITY ASSURANCE OF LIGHTWEIGHT PARTS IN MASS PRODUCTION
Production-related preliminary damage and residual stresses have significant effects on the functions and the damage development in fiber composite components. For this reason, it is important, especially for the safety-...
AUTONOMOUS MACHINING – RECENT ADVANCES IN PROCESS PLANNING AND CONTROL
While autonomous driving has come close to reality over the recent years, machining is still characterised by many manual tasks and prone to costly errors. In this article, an overview is given about the potential of au...
