COMPETITION FOR THE TITLE OF MASTER OF FIELD ARTILLERY FIRE AS A FORM OF IMPROVING OFFICER CADETS’ FIRING SKILLS

Abstract

The author’s intention is to present the undertakings which allow officer-cadets to develop their passion for field artillery. With field artillery firing tasks becoming systematically more complicated and improvement of firing competence being a logical necessity, it is essential to seek new methods of teaching and developing practical skills. One such method is an artillery competition for the title of “Master of Field Artillery Fire”. The author presents the history and rules of this event. It is hoped that the competition will help to popularize the knowledge about field artillery.
