COMPUTATIONAL STUDY OF THE UNSTEADY FLOW STRUCTURES AROUND TWO VEHICLES
Journal Title: Journal of Industrial Design and Engineering Graphics - Year 2014, Vol 9, Issue 1
Abstract
In this paper an experimental method for the investigations of flow structures encountered by automobiles was performed on two different vehicles. Currently are two methods to measure the drag, the first is to simulate the air flow with computational fluid dynamics and the second is to use a wind tunnel. Two cars were modeled to observe and track the flow structure around the bodies. This computational research will be used as an inexpensive experimental method to study the phenomenon of air flow in automotive industry.

GEOMETRY AND COMPLEXITY IN ARCHITECTURE
As Constantin Brancuși (1876-1956) said „Simplicity is complexity itself“, simplicity and regularity through the use of basic geometric forms has always played a central role in architectural design, during the 20th cent...
TURNING THE PULSATING FLOW INTO LAMINAR FLOW, REDUCTION / ELIMINATION OF EFFECT OF VACUUM, NEW CONSTRUCTIVE SOLUTIONS
The article, as a new concept, analyzes the notion of « pulsating flow », the physical phenomenon seen when emptying bottles of PET or Tetra Pak; which do not have a disposal system of the vacuum created while emptying t...
