COMPUTER GAMES ON LESSONS OF HISTORY AS A MEANS OF IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF TRAINING

Abstract

The main purpose of this article is to contribute to the teaching of history in Azerbaijan, in particular, to improve the quality of education in history lessons through computer games. The research methodology is based on the conducted research. It was concluded that for integration into the global education system it is necessary to maximize the use of ICT. One of the conditions for the effectiveness of computer games is to introduce them into the local education system. This problem has not yet been considered in the pedagogical science of Azerbaijan. It is proved that through the use of ICT tools, it is possible to improve the quality of education in history lessons and form students' interest in history lessons. It was concluded that, despite the wide possibilities of ICT, the implementation of reforms in the field of education and in the conditions of applying the new model of education in history lessons have certain gaps. To overcome these gaps, it is necessary to use computer games and other innovations. The article substantiates the relevance, reveals the degree of research, substantiates the role, place and importance of computer games in improving the quality of education in history lessons.
