HUMANIZATION OF EDUCATION AND TEACHING AS A LEADING TREND OF INNOVATIVE SEARCH IN UKRAINE (LAST QUARTER OF XX – THE BEGINNING OF XXI CENTURIES)

Abstract
Some specific aspects of the practical implementation of humanization ideas of teaching as an innovation trend in the last quarter of XX – the beginning of XXI centuries, the example of the performance of the educators in Dnipropetrovsk area, are considered in the paper. Beginning from the year of 1995, pedagogical teams of the region worked on the issue “Humanization of education – a priority principle of the development of modern school”. The organization of teaching-educational work, in compliance with the principles of humanization, envisaged humanization of pedagogical work and relations in a pedagogical staff, humanization of a school’s way of life, the arrangement of a teaching process taking into account psycho-physical abilities of children, their health. While working on the issue, a new concept of education was formed in the region, its main aim consisted in the creation of the conditions for self-development and self-realization of a personality of every child. The introduction of an innovative program was consistent and goal-oriented: theoretical principles of humanization of a teaching-educational process were revealed, a program of their practical implementation was worked out, work experience was shared at seminars and conferences.
