COMPUTER SIMULATION OF METHANE-AIR MIXTURES COMBUSTION AT ITS INITIAL DEVELOPMENT STAGE
Journal Title: Вестник научного центра по безопасности работ в угольной промышленности - Year 2016, Vol 3, Issue
Abstract
An approach to computer simulation of methane- air mixtures combustion at an initial stage of development is described using FlowVision software. We describe The boundary conditions and input data for computer simulation of methane-air mixture combustion in a dead-end development of a coal mine are described. The data on the spherical radius combustion front dependence of different time points and temperature distribution along the radius of the spherical combustion front received as a result of computer simulation are shown. Apparent combustion rate (2.82 m/s) and the normal ame propagation velocity (0.37 m/s) are determined. The value of the combustion temperature of air - methane mixture resulting from computer simulation is 1933°C. It was found that the computer simulation results received with FlowVision software package correspond to the known experimental and theoretical data.
