Computer simulation of quantum-size structures in the Matlab environment
Journal Title: Вісник НТУУ КПІ. Серія Радіотехніка, Радіоапаратобудування - Year 2011, Vol 0, Issue 46
Abstract
The features of computer modeling of quantum-size structures (QSS) in the Matlab environment are discussed. The program's interface represents the structure, its model and characteristics. Such an interface is useful for designing nanoelectronic devices, as well as the study of their principles in the educational process. The interface is designed for a three-layer sample of QSS, including symmetric and asymmetric single- and double-barrier structures, as well as the structure with two-well potential. An example of analysis of symmetrical doublebarrier structure with asymmetric barriers is discussed. Attention is paid to the features of computer modeling of QSS, QSS’s characteristics and parameters of its model at resonance tunneling of electrons
