Concept "region" in the context of modern transformation systems of international relations

Abstract
The article is focused on the studies of the concept of “region” in the context of modern trends and challenges in international development. Theoretical approaches to understanding and defining this concept are considered. Additionally, the article presents the evolutionary analysis of the concept of “region” in three dimensions: intrastate, international, and global dimension. Recent tendencies at the regional level in light of globalization and regionalization are also analysed.
