Conception of a Person and the World in Small Prose of Roman Ivanychuk

Abstract

The article deals with Roman Ivanychuk’s small prose. He thinks the literature is the science of the human and its main task is to bring up the reader. It is defined that the important place in the novels’ poetics of the writer belongs to the character creating methods. Roman Ivanychuk’s characters are united by the human concept, his point of view on the human nature and abilities. The inner monologue and inner dialogue, the portrait are determined as the artistic methods of character creating. Particularly the portrait is traditionally one of the main methods of character creating. It changes from statistic to movable and even to impressionistic. One of the unusual methods of character creating are the inserted story-situation.
