Conceptual design of island offshore oil and gas hydrotechnical structure
Journal Title: Вісник Одеської державної академії будівництва та архітектури - Year 2017, Vol 1, Issue 67
Abstract
Ukraine is currently energy-dependent country. In addition to the hydrocarbon reserves located onshore in the Soviet era on the Black sea shelf belonging to our country, promising oil and gas reserves were explored. In particular, for the shallow shelf in the vicinity of Snake Island are the deposits of hydrocarbons, which it is advisable to develop from an economic point of view. For this purpose it is necessary to identify the most optimal design of the offshore oil and gas hydraulic structure, which would best correspond to the natural-climatic and engineering-geological conditions of the construction area. In this article the design of island oil and gas hydraulic structure, which best suits the conditions of the area is developed. The construction of such facilities in the vicinity of Snake Island, will launch the offshore structures of hydrocarbons, which will allow Ukraine to develop the economy using its own reserves of energy in future. Ports on the Danube river can be used as a coastal base in the construction process.
