Conceptual directions of transformation of banking activity under the influence of globalization

Abstract
One of the most important spheres of globalization processes is financial globalization, which means the free and efficient movement of capital between countries and regions, the functioning of the global financial market, the formation of a system of supranational regulation of international finance. The article deals with the peculiarities of banks’ activity at the present stage of development of the global economy. The role of information and communication technologies in the global changes of banking business is determined. The directions of transformation of banking activity under the influence of globalization are characterized, which are manifested at two levels: at the macro-level – due to changes in the activities of central banks and at the micro-level – through the restructuring and transformation of business banks.
