Conceptual Ecodesign for the Product Using Stage
Journal Title: RECENT - Year 2010, Vol 11, Issue 30
Abstract
Usually, the environmental impact of a product should be assessed during all the stages of its life cycle. In this paper, the evaluation will focus on the useful life of a product. Some products consume significant resources when used and others consume small amounts, even none. Designers should assess the products and establish the weight of energy and materials consumption during this stage from the total. Usually, this evaluation is performed using assessment instruments like LCA. The results of such analyse can be applied to the new products even in the conceptual stage during the design process. New solutions can be proposed and evaluated including the environmental impact criteria.

Wooden Briquettes versus Pellets
The paper presents a comparison between wooden briquettes and pellets used for combustion, in order to promote ecological briquettes obtained from wooden biomass. Firstly there are specified the general advantages of woo...
Methods for Determining the Configuration of the Connections of Some Containers Used in the Industrial Equipments
The connections located on the surface of some containers serving various industrial equipments, have similar configurations of a cylindrical, conical shapes, etc. The design, the execution and their installation require...
Effect of the Influence of Hydrolyzate of Molluscs on the Oxidation of Vegetable Oil
Given the results of research of antioxidant properties of the hydrolyzate of molluscs; determined by the induction period the oxidation of sunflower oil and the constant of chain termination, which show the effectivenes...
Collision Avoidance Control Using Null Space Criteria
A new strategy to on-line collision-avoidance of the redundant robots with obstacles is presented. The strategy allows the use of redundant degrees of freedom such that a manipulator can avoid obstacles while tracking th...
Model-Based Fault Diagnosis in a Waste-Processing Industrial System via Causal Graphs
The paper describes a Casual Graph (CAG) approach to fault diagnosis of industrial systems, based on logical and qualitative methodology for modelling the diagnostic aspects of a system structure and behaviour. The main...
