CONDITIONS OF TACTICAL TRAINING IN SUB-UNIT

Abstract
Current changes in the system of training, such as the ending of conscription and ongoing professionalisation, as well as constraints imposed by the financial crisis have made it necessary to redesign the conditions of tactical training in a sub-unit. Recognition of problems and challenges which sub-unit commanders face while conducting training allows one to determine the scope of changes and their focus, which, following the transition period, will facilitate the efficient execution of tasks in a sub-unit. In order to identify the conditions of tactical training, the author conducted a survey among junior officers–company commanders, demonstrating vast experience in this area. The survey form asked about commanders’ opinions regarding the preparation and conduct of tactical training in their sub-units. The results allowed the author to formulate conclusions that, if taken into consideration, will allow one to achieve the objectives of the tactical training process.
