Conflictividad obrera en el puerto de Mar del Plata: del anarquismo al peronismo. El Sindicato Obrero de la Industria del Pescado, 1942-1948

Journal Title: Revista de Estudios Marítimos y Sociales - Year 2008, Vol 1, Issue 1

Abstract

This article aims at tracking the conflict dynamics of the Fishing Industry Trade Union during the 1940’s. The conflicts are analyzed in order to make their main features visible, due to the lack of work about this topic. Therefore, the article pretends to reconstruct the processes, stages and molecular movements between 1942 and 1948 which implied displacements, regroupings and crystallizations. Choosing this period is relevant due to the foundation of the SOIP in 1942, which was characterized by a strike movement of 29 days. Later on, disputes over the fulfllment of conditions and recognition of internal commissions within the factories as well as internal disputes over the direction of the union were still present. That is why this work starts with the organization of the union in the hands of the anarchists and ends up with the peronist intervention of the union.
