Abstract
These conflicts are transformed in most cases in intercommunities conflicts causing significant property and human’s damages. To prevent and manage these conflicts, the administrative and political authorities have put in place mechanisms management called management committees. These committees exist at village level, at the sub prefecture and at the prefectural or departmental level. Unfortunately, the actors do not trust in these mechanisms. The root causes of these conflicts between farmers and breeders go even beyond the destruction of plantations by animals. Indeed, these conflicts are the manifestation of conflicting social relations between different groups of players. Each actor seeking to control natural resources (land). Analysis of communal conflicts occurring in Bouna show that the persistence of conflict is caused primarily by political, land and identity.
