CONSTITUENTS FROM FERONIA LIMONIA
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii din Bucuresti. Chimie - Year 2009, Vol 18, Issue 2
Abstract
The root and stem bark of Feronia limonia yielded 5, 7-dihydroxy-3', 4'-dimethoxy -6, 8-di (3-methylbut-2-enyl) flavanone along with several known compounds viz., stigmasterol, friedelin, β-sitosterol-3-O-β-D-glucopyranoside, bergapten, xanthotoxin, scopoletin, isoimperatorin, osthol and 6, 7-dimethoxycoumarin. These compounds were characterized on the basis of U.V, IR, N.M.R (1H, 13C) and mass spectral studies.

SYNTHESIS, PHYSICO-CHEMICAL CHARACTERIZATION AND BIOLOGIC ACTIVITY OF A NEW NICKEL COMPLEX WITH 2-CYANOGUANIDINE
A new complex of nickel with 2-cyanoguanidine and acrilato ion as ligands was synthesised. The physico-chemical characterisation revealed the unidentate coordination mode of ligands as well as the metallic ion octahedral...
EFFECTS OF pH VALUE ON THE ELECTRODEPOSITION OF Cu4SnS4 THIN FILMS
Copper tin sulfide thin films were electrodeposited on the indium tin oxide substrates in a bath containing CuSO4, SnCl2 and Na2S2O3 solutions. Various pH values ranging from 1.1 to 1.5 were attempted in order to determi...
SYNTHESIS, LIQUID CRYSTALLINE PROPERTIES AND THERMAL STABILITY OF 4-(4-ALKYLOXYPHENYLAZO) BENZOIC ACIDS
The paper details the synthesis, liquid crystalline properties and thermal stabilities of some mesogenic groups with the general formula HOOC-C6H4-N=N-C6H4-OCnH2n+1, n = 6 ÷ 10, 18. Their mesomorphic properties were inve...
EXPLOSION PRESSURES OF CONFINED DEFLAGRATIONS PROPAGATING IN STOICHIOMETRIC GASEOUS MIXTURES OF LOWER ALKANES WITH AIR
An experimental study on maximum explosion pressure in closed vessel deflagration of stoichiometric gaseous mixtures, for various initial pressures within 0.3 – 1.2 bar and ambient initial temperature is reported. Explos...
ISOLATION AND FRACTIONAL SEPARATION OF TARRAGON ESSENTIAL OIL BY SUPERCRITICAL FLUID
The experimental results of supercritical CO2 extraction on tarragon essential oil at 50˚C and 90 bar are presented. The chemical composition and the yield of the supercritical extract are compared with those of the tarr...
